Response to Jaden Lockard

First of all, love your point that a woman is just as capable as a man. Moreso, the concepts of race and gender precedents being eliminated within the political world are very true. I agree with you that our nation has taken leaps in the right direction. Recognizing that women have risen in the political world with implemented percents within your blog backs up your argument well. Although I agree with this point, I disagree with your point about Trump and Hillary Clinton. I don’t necessarily think that she was not elected President because people viewed she, “couldn't have matched the intelligence of Trump.” In my opinion, the decision didn’t come to man vs. woman in terms of intellect. Maybe a factor, but not the reason Trump won. I did like your point about Barack Obama. The first African American President being elected was probably a day many racist people dreaded, and I feel almost special to be alive to witness such a monumental day. Your quote, “In complete darkness we are all the same, it is only our knowledge and wisdom that separates us, don't let your eyes deceive you,” is one of my favorite quotes. These words should be embedded in the brains of everyone. Our brains, attitudes, and actions should be separation factors within the population. They certainly are when considering jobs, college classes, and a number of other intellectually necessary occupations. Not only that, but who we are as a person most certainly categorizes us as citizens. I would love to see a day that a woman is always and fairly considered for the same jobs men have better chances of getting, merely because they are men. Overall, your argument is hopeful and does a good job at recognizing change within U.S. politics.
